Another idea for simple to manage fundraising, also consider Fundraising Discount Cards.

In a nutshell, you buy plastic credit card type cards, which could have your chosen fundraiser logo on the front & approx 12 to 20 local merchants offering discounts on the back, you sell these at a profit (obviously), but also the person buying the card actually has more than the value of the card in discounts - win/win.

Eg: you buy card for $2, sell card for $10, & person buying has in excess of $10 worth of discounts.

Some of the better companies offer to get the merchants for you & some don’t even ask for payment until 2 weeks later, effectively paying for the cards out of the profit you’ve already made! - http://locatereviews.com/852550389

Hi there, Tommy! GREAT questions and GREAT cause! :)

I've been heavily involved with nonprofit fund raising for years....so here are some ideas I have that could be relatively low in cost for your church...

1) Consider a mail campaign - depending on how many mailing addresses you have, you never know how many people might respond to your cause and just write you a check! This works amazingly well for several organizations that are short on time AND resources.

2) Consider running an online auction - this is an AWESOME way to get to the people whose mailing addresses you don't have (ie you've got their EMAILS)...your email base can feel like they're using their expendable income on great stuff AND its going to their church at the same time!
I've included a link of one of the online auction companies that I've worked with...cMarket. They also have another website, BiddingforGood.com, that opens your auction up to all their members so that people who you don't even know can donate to your cause and bid on your items!

3) Have a fundraising event - give people in your congregation something to look forward to, and host a gala....you can sell tickets, have an auction, raffle prizes, etc that will give your church something to look forward to AND a perfect opportunity to donate to something they care about.

Some other quick thoughts...

Carwash (modestly by the way)
Krispy-Kreme
Talent show.
Serve dinner at church, and sell tickets to get out.
babysitting
rock-a-thon
make calenders
chicken plates
References :
http://www.cmarket.com

hey tommy! ok so i am really into the whole fundraising thing and i have plenty of ideas for you so get out a piece of paper and a pen...
- you could have a fundraiser at your church with donations from the companies that own all of the rides and etc!
- put a huge thermometer (meter) with the amount of money you want to raise (total)
- in front of the church set up a stand that has a sign for raising money for your church and information about it and a box that has a slot on the top and a card that says donations on it
- go around door to door in your neighborhood and get your friends to help you out!
- have a lemonade stand or something like that and say that all your profits are going to your church
- ask for some donations during church
- make some signs and put them up around your neighborhood and etc.
- have a church event that has a reason or motto thats likeraise our roof or something like that and get some businesses to make donations like that for it! and like spread the word about it so that a bunch of people come! like chuckie cheeses type thing or carnival with games and things like that with cool rides and tickets/tokens and etc! and every single cent of the money thats is payed or given at the carnival/event will go toward the church!
- also you can a bake sale
- car washes are always fun
- babysitting thing for kids
- camps - like a bible study thing that would be a great way to 1 help parents during the summer
2 teach kids that going to church is really fun
3 get service hours
4 raise money for your church!

anyway tommy i hope that i helped you and good luck! and by the way no matter what dont give up!
References :
One of the best fundraisers I have ever seen in action was a "seed" ministry. The church gave every member in attendace $10.00. The idea being, that each person should take that $10 and invest it in a way that would earn more money. One girl bought ingredients for a lemonade stand with her $10, and gave the proceeds to the church. Another man (with waist-long hair!) got sponsors from his work and friends, each one to pay $20 for an inch of his hair. He had enough sponsors to cut 21 inches of his hair. A boy used his money to buy supplies to wash cars, which he did for "donations". It was a good lesson in Talents, being a good stewart, Sowing a Seed, and trust.... and the church made back their $10 investments many times over. The stories were just amazing!!
References :
Put on a dinner/ball for everyone. Use tickets and ask for contributions with them.

make book markers or specially designed T-shirts with your church various departments and logo on them.

Start a coin drive where each week each person ( church member) throw their coins in a box until it is full.

Have a bake sale

-No offense intended-
When fund raising becomes necessary in your church-thats a pretty good indicator that you are outside the will of God.

I saw small children soliciting funds at Wal-Mart today for a mission trip. This is wrong. No one in the body of Christ should solicit funds from those outside the church. Its actually blasphemous.
References :
Some Bible-Tribe friends of mine prayed for a new church roof and Lordy, Lordy, a new one appeared overnight.

PRAY for ideas - or don't you believe in prayer?

You can pray to God or the Tooth Fairy - either will give you the same result.
References :
The New Testicle
