Eg: you buy card for $2, sell card for $10, & person buying has in excess of $10 worth of discounts. The church gave every member in attendace $10.00. The idea being, that each person should take that $10 and invest it in a way that would earn more money. One girl bought ingredients for a lemonade stand with her $10, and gave the proceeds to the church. Another man (with waist-long hair!) got sponsors from his work and friends, each one to pay $20 for an inch of his hair. He had enough sponsors to cut 21 inches of his hair. A boy used his money to buy supplies to wash cars, which he did for "donations". It was a good lesson in Talents, being a good stewart, Sowing a Seed, and trust.... and the church made back their $10 investments many times over.
