what's the best way to earn money for a mission trip?

My church is going to Buffalo for a mission trip. Besides church fundraisers (because the money gets split between 15 people, so we each dont get much) what's the best way to earn money?
We're going to Buffalo this summer, and I've been working hard, but I'm just not getting enough money. And yes, I know it's in the wrong place. I don't need people giving me answers that tell me this is the wrong category. You think I don't know?

Actually I think it's a great category to ask in. How about asking parishioners about pet sitting and dog walking. I would feel much better hiring someone if I knew they were a fellow church member. Washing dogs can be a little more tricky and I wouldn't suggest it.

I am a return missionary for hte Mormon church. We go for 2 yrs and women go for 1.5 yrs. Which I did.

I worked.. earned my money. Our church does not do any type of fund raisers. We all work and earn our money.

Pray about it and do your part, the Lord will make up the rest if this is what he wants you to do.

    Cheers

Have a car wash. ASK for DONATIONS. People don't like to be charged for a service. They do like to donate to a cause it makes them feel charitable.

When I went to Argentina last year some ppl in our team sent out a letter to people they know, boss, doctors, neighbors, etc. Some people do send money back to help. I have a sample letter if you like. Email me: aymi2001@yahoo.com

God Bless and believe that He will provide.

    Hey,
My parents are Missionaries and they have a ton of mission teams that come and help them through out the year with differant activities. The one thing I have always heard from these college students is they send letters to family members and friends of their family and they also go to different churches and ask their pastors if they can pesent thier mission to their congragations a lot of times they'll take a special offering for you . I hope this was some help to you and God bless you for going out and serving him!
