Church Fundraisers

Everything about church fundraisers

Do you have any fundraising ideas for a medium sized group going on a Mission Trip?

My church group wants to go on a mission trip that will be rather far (we live in NJ and trying to go to AZ or somewhere near there).

Do you have any fundraising ideas that are do-able and profitable?
(Please don’t say Yard Sale or Car Wash because already have those down).

Thanks so much and your ideas are really helpful.
we are all 13-18

EDIT: You can hold a 'pagent' in the yard of the church. Have people pay $10-$25, depending on your area to enter. Have a 'cutest tot' contest with girls ages 2-5; 'handsomest toddler' with guys ages 2-5; 'most endearing gal' with girls ages 6-10; 'most charming fellow' with guys ages 6-10; 'coolest guy' with guys ages 10-14; 'cutest girl' with girls ages 10-14; and finally Miss "insert church name here" Pagent 2008 with girls ages 15-28, and Mr. "insert church name here" Pagent 2008 with guys ages 15-28.
Think about it: if twenty people enter for twenty-five dollars each, that's $500 right there, and with good advertising you'll probably get more.

Or you could go the whole nine, and in addition to the pagent, have carnival games [homeade] (BBguns+styrofoam targets, plywood w/ holes+beanbags, etc.)

i think you should try doing like going down to house with brochures if thats how u spell it and ask for any sort of dontations… if you go to school … have a small desk with a sign saying ” Donate Only 50 cents” they will most likely be having cash and not ask u for change and they will eventualy drop a dollar or 5

You could have a spaghetti dinner where the people would pay like 5 or so dollars for all you can eat spaghetti and salad. It’s worked really well before with some of the groups that I’ve been in.

I would say a car wash, but everybody does that. My church youth group just did a dinner after morning service and asked for donations and got over $2000, and because of it we now have AATalks (Audio Adrenaline) coming to our church.!
