Do u Know of anyone who would donate a puppy for a church fundraiser?

Church festival and fundraiser in Los Angeles county on Sept. 6th&7th. We need items for raffles and a puppy for sure and or a kitten.

No legitimate animal shelter will donate a puppy for a raffle. Most will not even let someone adopt a pet for someone else as a gift. When shelters adopt out animals they screen potential owners to make sure they will be responsible pet owners.

However, many times your local SPCA or other similar shelters will sell gift certificates. Potentially you could inquire about a gift certificate for a shelter and the raffle winner can go there themselves and pick out an animal of their choice that will be right for them.

Raffling pets is not really a good idea.

Sorry, but raffling off an animal is not a good idea. Just because someone has the price of a ticket does not mean he/she is going to be a responsible pet owner. I know you mean well, but this could have tragic consequences if the winner was not capable of loving & caring for a pet.

How about seeking the donation of a large toy animal? Lots of folks like those, & there would be no worries about long-term care. Another ticket seller would be a quilt–perhaps a quilting group would be willing to donate something hand-made. Quilts are very popular raffle items.

    Good luck on your fundraiser!
