Church Fundraisers

Everything about church fundraisers

I need some good fundraiser ideas for my church. We are building a new church & we need to raise funds. ?

I need good fundraiser ideas. Not costly Just genuine ideas with little or no cost.

Avon (the make-up company) also does fundraisers. You may have an Avon representative that is a member of your church. You could ask during announcements.
Also there is the Walk with Jesus Candle Fundraiser. I posted the link below. That site has a free Christian fundraiser idea catalog you can order.

You could go to area business (make sure to talk to the owner or manager in charge of decisions) and ask for donations (like a 10.00 gas card, a 10.00 gift card to the pizza place or a 10.00 off card to a local mechanic) Make sure you let them know what these funds will be used for. Then place the gift cards into an envelope and state on a paper or bi-fold card that such and such business donated a gift card and that the customer will be bidding on a silent/blind auction. Meaning that they know where the gift card is from, just not how much it is for. Place a piece of paper numbered to 20 in front of each envelop. Have the bidder put their name, address, phone number and the amount they bid on each line. At the end of say 3 hours call or say the name of the highest bidder. Often times, you will get more that what was originally donated for that item. You could do the silent/blind auction while hosting a rummage sale/bake sale.
Good luck

Car washes & rummage sales are definitely the events where I'd spend money. Actually, I'd choose rummage sales first. I don't know if paying for car washes is in the budget for most of us right now.

Wow! I could use a bowl of hot homemade soup right now, having stayed after work to play on the computer. I don't know what you could do with such an idea, though. (I'm a vegetarian, by the way, & appreciaciate having vegetarian as one of the choices.) I also like the jalapeno focaccio that they have at Safeway. That would be good with my soup, but so would poor boy sandwiches with various types of thinly cut cheese & some vegies on it. Pasta is good, too. And pancake breakfasts are always good. Besides getting church members to attend, some of the neighbors might attend on Saturday morning or noon. I'd probably want to know if there would be a Church service. Probably wouldn't fit with the fundraiser itself, but it might bring in new people in the long run. Well, it doesn't solve my desire for soup after work, but I'm always up for home- cooked food.

Maybe have the rummage sale with the snack bar on the side. Besides selling beverages, you could have a crock pots full of soup or pasta & maybe a toaster oven for grilled cheese sandwiches…something besides just sweets.

You could perhaps have some visiting performers, either choir singers or instruments. Even if they donated their time & talent, though, you'd still have to pay for travel expenses.

It would be good to do a little research to find out which of these ideas has made money for churches & charities in the past in your area & which has actually lost money. Does your minister belong to a local council of churches where such a question could be asked?

I have been in my choir ministry for over 20 years and we have car washes and fish fries and give concerts where we sell tickets for people to come out and hear us sing lots of wonderful music…..We also visit other churches where we give concerts and they always give us a "LOVE OFFERING" which can go into our account for the Choir Ministry……God Bless……

I found a fundraiser that might help you out, they build you a website which you can sell internet products on, there absolutely free, all you do is ask them to build you a website, then you sell the internet programs on it for money towards your organization, you don't have to try to deal with the programs either, they download them instantly after they buy it. So you send people to your custom built website and they buy programs to support you, and its free! Check it out =D I hope it helps you!

Awareness bracelets are a great method to promote any charity. Not only do they get the recognition needed for your cause, but they can be used to create a revenue stream as well. The silicone rubber bracelets have a low manufacturing cost allowing significant profit margins with which to raise money. Larger quantities purchased bring costs down dramatically.
