I read through your article and I wanted to let you know about a Year Round Fundraising tool that could be a fun new innovative way for your Organization to generate revenue. A organization i’m involved recently had a Branded Online Shopping Website created for their organization. The site has given all of their members a place to do all of their online shopping.

Every purchase benefits the organization through whats called Emedded Giving (Where a portion of a purchase goes to a organization) This has allowed groups to still generate revenue when their members have less money to donate.

Wow, I think I'd skip the nude stuff above Ummm…church event folks.

OK, on the serious side, I'd check with other non-profits, especially churches, in your area and see what has been successful. Check newspaper listings for ideas – –for example, if some church is hosting their 9th Annual Barbeque, then it must be successful.

That really isn't all that much money.

Do you have any good chili cooks in your church?

If so, have a chili dinner fund raiser night. Chili can be made pretty cheaply and you can sell tickets at the door for like $3 all you can eat. Offer ice water for free, but charge a fair rice for all the other drinks.
You can add hot dogs, chips, cookies and home deserts for a price too.

Also, if you have some good salesmen in your group have them go to local businesses and ask for donations of goods or services. Then, have a raffle and offer the stuff you got from the businesses as prizes.

I bought two coupon books in the last week, one from a women's shelter advocate and one from a boy scout. In troubled economic times, if you can get a big chain (in these cases Carl's Jr. and Ralph's supermarkets) to let you have their coupon booklets, you can generally work out an amenable profit sharing plan with them.
