i need help thinking of fund raiser ideas!?
my friends church youth group and i are wanting to go to west Virginia to help people rebuild and fix their houses. But in order to do that we need to have 250 each person! her church can not afford for eight of us to go so we have fundraisers. We are doing a bake sale and sloppy Joe lunch once a month. we made a profit of three hundred and fifty dollars which is a huge profit considering the size of the church. i need ideas of how to make money. and what is a good price for a car wash because that is the only thing we can think of at this point. Thanks
If you have a Sam's Club, you can get bulk candy bars and sell them for $1 a piece. You will come out way ahead by doing that.
For the car wash, most people accept donations and do not charge for the car wash. You will get a lot more people come through and everybody (usually) will leave a donation. Just make sure to plan ahead and do it on a sunny day!

the group needs to give each member a formal letter ,so each person can go to a bank, big business and other places that will just put up the $250.00 right away. They need to donate to the community and they like the recognition. Each person can find one or two sponsors, its better than all these fund raisers.

The youth group in our church went to Mississippi to help rebuild houses destroyed by Katrina, and they had a neat way to make money. Congregation members could ask the youth group members to come over and do whatever kind of chores needed doing (mowing lawns, spreading mulch, helping people move, that sort of thing), and the cost was only $10 per hour, per person. Obviously you'd have to have one of the youth group leaders to come along to supervise, but it was a nice way to help out and to raise money at the same time.

Are you or any of your members any good on the computer? If so, we had more than enough luck with Fundraiser 1.0. It’s great for churches to be able to get their patrons involved with very little money, just time that turns into money. the link is: http://linkfrog.net/capital
