Church Fundraisers

Everything about church fundraisers

Looking for sample contribution letters from a church for fundraising, for corporation and individuals?

I worked in my "Church" in "Finance", voluntarily, for a number of years. Our membership consisted of 8,000 from all "walks" of life. Begin any "funds" drive with your resources available, MEMBERS. Members attend because they enjoy the church and want it to succeed. They will get the message out in support.

Success in a church "fundraiser" is accomplished not only through members but other "tools", i.e., phone, visiting individuals and/or corporations. etc. Individuals will donate a minimum only because you are representing a church, but, business, corporations, etc., is different. Successful businesses are "managed" by successful people. Most are affiliated with a church, therefore, any donations will first support their own. On the other hand, if your church is located in a smaller area, community, township, and businesses of all sizes are in the area, I can assure you in support of the local community a visit will get a donation.

NO business will support your efforts unless you provide a reason, a plan, a goal. Depending on use of "funds" raised will effect efforts as well. Businesses MUST first be contacted and corporations may have a department or individual responsible for your type support.

I can tell you from experience, most letters to individuals "hit the trash" quickly. If you do not send to proper person at businesses, same. I found letters a waste of time and money, "return" was less than the expense.

Good Luck, stay positive. Let those in the church work for you.
