I produced a cook-book for our Church once. All the ladies submitted their favorite recipes, I sent them to a company who turned them into a cookbook. Do a google search for cookbook companies. We made lots of money and people loved the books.

you could have a church sale where all or most members of the church bring in unwanted items to sell. everyone could work at their own section (ex. children’s toys, women’s clothing, houseware, etc.) so you dont have to hire and pay people to be sellers. i do it at my church every year and its really incredibly fun!! we raised over $1500 dollars this year. we call it unifair.

I agree with the cookbook suggestion! My church did that several times! Its gets members of your congregation involved and a lot of people will buy the books…My other suggestion would be a pancake breakfast, those were always pretty successful too, we did them as dinner though, not breakfast! Just some ideas, I am sure you will come up with some great fundraisers!

This one works and is fun for all involved.

It is called a cookie walk.

First ask for donations of homemade cookies from members of the church.

Then set up tables with the different cookies.

People are allowed to bring in their own cookie tray or tin and for a set price are allowed to fill it up.

Now you can get specific with how many cookies is the maximun or you can just state that its 5 bucks for a dozen, its all up to you.

People come in, pay you and then proceed to pick and choose their own individual mix of cookies.

If its not fun raising funds, then do not do it. If not done for the joy of serving God, do not do it.

A change car wash. You have people agree to donate say $0.25 for ever car washed, then wash the cars for free, donations accepted at the time, but not required.

If I had ten people agreeing to pay a quarter for each car washed, and we wash 200 cars (done this one, it works great) than for the charity, I alone have made $500, but with only a $50 donation from each person who chooses to donate.

The more people you get to agree to donate a small amount, the more it adds up fast.

You can also offer cookies and stuff like that while people have their cars washed. Its a good way to be able to interact with people while getting a job done.

    God doesn’t need money. !

If you read the scriptures you would find that Jesus never set up a money collecting arrangement for his apostles and other servants to pay for their kingdom preaching work.

Simply put , receive free , give free.

God doesn’t need your money !

Everybody in the church has a couple of things in common:
    1. They love and want to support the church
    2. They travel

Get the church set up with it’s own online travel agency that allows members to go online from their own homes and book travel on the church’s website, not to mention trips that the church plans, i.e. church retreats, missions trips, etc. The church earns the commission for all travel booked on their own website. For more info on this contact me.

Hi there! This is the golden question!

I’ve been heavily involved with nonprofit fund raising for years….so here are some ideas I have that could be relatively low in cost for your church…

    1) Consider a mail campaign – depending on how many mailing addresses you have, you never know how many people might respond to your cause and just write you a check! This works amazingly well for several organizations that are short on time AND resources.

    2) Consider running an online auction – this is an AWESOME way to get to the people whose mailing addresses you don’t have (ie you’ve got their EMAILS)…your email base can feel like they’re using their expendable income on great stuff AND its going to their church at the same time!
I’ve included a link of one of the online auction companies that I’ve worked with…cMarket. They also have another website, BiddingforGood.com, that opens your auction up to all their members so that people who you don’t even know can donate to your cause and bid on your items!

    3) Have a fundraising event – give people in your congregation something to look forward to, and host a gala….you can sell tickets, have an auction, raffle prizes, etc that will give your church something to look forward to AND a perfect opportunity to donate to something they care about.
