Church Fundraisers

Everything about church fundraisers

Looking for fundraising ideas for a children’s school?

Anyone have any good recommendations on a cute fundraising ideas for children? Our church is trying to put something together to raise money for the needy & I need some ideas.

Bake sales usually do well, if you have plenty of people willing to bake. Another idea that’s low-maintenance might be a candle sale, Tupperware, pizza kits, frozen cookie dough, etc. Discovery Toys, I think does fundraisers, too. One that our school uses is the pop can drive. We are in Michigan, so there is a 10c deposit on carbonated beverage containers. We have the students bring them in, then the group who is raising the money takes them to the store to be returned for money.

Decide how many people are willing to help and what kind of market your dealing with, and go for it!

Perhaps this will help you raise the funds you require…

Regardless of whether you recycle an old idea or come up with a new one, you’re going to have to come up with a budget. If you do not have a budget, you’re likely to spend a lot more money than you anticipated. And remember, the more money you spend, the less money you make. Understand that fundraisers include some upfront costs. If you’re running on a very small budget (less than $100), consider selling something rather than putting together a fund raising event.

Because schools don’t have a lot of upfront fund raising money, sales are a good, effective way to raise money for the school. Selling food is a great way to raise money for your school. Candy bars and cookie dough sales are a great way to bring in money.

This type of school fund raising ideas is also a really easy fundraiser to organize and oversee. All the kids have to do is take down orders, turn in their sheet and then deliver the product and collect money. You should make sure to tell the kids that they do not need to go door-to-door. If they decide to do this, they should do it with a parent. Making money is nice, but keep the kids safe should be your top priority.

Another great school fund raising idea is selling school spirit products. This type of fundraiser goes over really well in high schools. By the time kids are in high school, they’re usually involved in some kind of school activity so they take pride in their school. Also, high schools tend to have rivalries with other high schools so showing school spirit is a cool thing to do.

For these fundraisers, you can order t-shirts, bracelets, key chains, pens, pencils, notebooks, magnets and other paraphernalia for the kids to buy. If you have a school store, suggest that this school fund raising idea be marketed at the store.

Hope this moves you in the right direction! If you need more help look at the site below.
