Church Fundraisers

Everything about church fundraisers

What are some of your fundraiser ideas for a church youth group?

I need some ideas on youth fundraisers for out church!! Thanks!!

When I grew up through Youth Group, we did many different things as fund raisers.

Pancake breakfasts

Car washes

Dinner Theatre – dinner while seeing a show – faith based

Carnation Corsages for Mother's Day – gather carnations, greens and straight pins and/or elastic and create corsages for mothers day. You set the price.

Sub sandwiches – take orders over a few weeks time and then the kids make sub sandwiches according to order. Make an order sheet up so there are specified meats, cheeses, etc. available for order by parishioners.

Crock Pot cook off – each child in the youth group as well as others in the congregation provides a crock pot of a delicious meal – Meal charge $5.00 or so. You decide how much to charge to come for a "pot luck" dinner. The extras and beverages are served by the youth group. Also have a bag by each crock pot where each person is given a ticket upon entrance. Then they get to decide which crock pot was best and they place the ticket into that bag after eating. Have a prize for the winner.

Bake sales – cakes, cookies, pies, etc.

Sell your wares auction (kids provide services like cleaning a home, babysitting, etc. and parishoners bid on the services)

Cookbooks created with recipes that your youth group kids love.

Chocolate fund raiser – get molds and chocolates and lollipop sticks and create candies and sell them.

Christmas wreath making / sale – gather wreath making supplies, have the youth group take orders, and they make and sell the wreaths.

Banana Split Social – An afternoon event for the whole family. Youth group kids walk around and take orders from tables and come back with special ordered banana splits. Give choice of ice cream and toppings.

Birthday Calendars – For several Sundays, have youth available the as congregation leaves. Youth write the members' names or anniversary on the appropriate date on a calendar. Use the church directory so no one is left out. Then have youth help w/Print Shop or American Greetings Spiritual Greetings, etc., and make a 12 month calendar with all the names on the appropriate dates. Add personal testimonies, pictures of Sunday School classes, church info (service times, mission statement, how to be saved, so on) to each month. The more personal, the more they sell. We print them out and copy and assemble them with hole punch/string binding and a heavy bond front and back. Then sell the calendars for $10. Everybody will want one as a keepsake as well as a birthday reminder.

Hope that these ideas can help you.

God Bless

    Hi,
    here are a few ideas:
    () Stall day.
    () Small Church fair.
() Create a fund for the church.
() Having a bowl somewhere in the church
that people can put there spare change in.
    Good luck,
    Hope this has helped.

OMG… THE BIBLE IS FULL OF THEM<!!!!

    GOD THE FATHER PROFILE…
Deuteronomy 21:18-21 (NIV) If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. They shall say to the elders, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a profligate and a drunkard."*(*he is probably a teenager!) THEN ALL THE MEN OF HIS TOWN SHALL STONE HIM TO DEATH* (*the old perverts were just waiting there for the next child to be stoned to death! And only God fearing parents would bring their rebellious son to be stoned to death in obedience to the law of God!) You must purge the evil from among you. ALL ISRAEL WILL HEAR OF IT AND BE AFRAID.* (*It works all the time! Have your unruly child stoned to death in full public view and all the other kids will learn to stay in line! How Divinely simplistic can you get?)

GOD THE SON JESUS CHRIST PROFILE…
Revelation 2:23 (NIV) (Jesus says) I WILL STRIKE HER CHILDREN DEAD* (*Sweet Jesus Christ himself is the one having the pleasure of doing the killing of children so he can teach everybody a lesson! The Clergy earned millions printing books about Jesus love for the little children of the world without telling anybody about Jesus’ vicious children killing craze. In our society today he would be in jail for promoting the killing of children to favor a particular religion!!!). Then ALL THE CHURCHES WILL KNOW that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.* (*Praise the LORD! Sweet Jesus… He is such a great teacher and he must have learned all that from the Mafia!)

Luke 19:27 (NIV) (Jesus is very excited telling this story… most Christians prefer to ignore!) But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them–bring them here and kill them in front of me.

Control by fear is deeply rooted in God’s “Plan of Salvation”… So if you think that you got saved GOOD FOR YOU!!! Make sure that you pay your FULL tithes and offering on time or God the Holy Ghost will zap you on the spot and the church people will give you a decent Christian burial without telling anybody in your family. This is the New Testament killing of unruly Christians after Jesus did away with the LAW of the Old Testament! You can’t test God the Holy Ghost aka “The Comforter”, aka “The Helper” he is very touchy about money issues. Saint Paul says that many Christians get sick because of it. So if you get sick it means that you may be lagging behind in paying your dues to the Church!

    GOD THE HOLY GHOST PROFILE…
Act 5:9-11 (NIV) Peter said to her, “How could you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord?* (*aka “The Holy Comforter”, aka “The Helper” by not paying the FULL tithe and offering to the Church) Look! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door* (*in a truly Christian burial nobody notifies the death event to any spouse or relative! Have you noticed how bloody cool is Saint Peter about tithing?) and they will carry you out also.” At that moment SHE FELL DOWN AT HIS FEET AND DIED* (*Praise the LORD! Sweet Jesus! Saint Peter KNEW that she was going to be killed on the spot! No intercession whatsoever! Most likely Saint Peter and God the Holy Ghost were conniving together to teach the Church a lesson!!!). Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. GREAT FEAR SEIZED THE WHOLE CHURCH AND ALL WHO HEARD ABOUT THESE EVENTS.* (*yeah… it works all the time! Just have somebody killed and the rest will learn! It’s the Bible way! What if Ananias and Saphira had children at home? Who cares? Too bad CNN was not there to report… Christianity would have been involved in a very big scandal!)

Any member of God the Holy Trinity team puts to shame any mobster intimidating and killing anybody without mercy just to get your attention!

And lastly, but not the least different…

    THE CLERGY PROFILE…
Deuteronomy 17:12-13 (NIV) The man who shows contempt for the judge or for the PRIEST who stands ministering there to the Lord your God MUST BE PUT TO DEATH! You must purge the evil from Israel. ALL THE PEOPLE WILL HEAR AND BE AFRAID, AND WILL NOT BE CONTEMPTUOUS AGAIN.

Luke 16:17 (NIV) (Jesus said) It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the least stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law.

Nothing promotes the Christian religion better than the story of a few killings and some coercion to keep the Christian population UNDER A SMILEY CLERGY CONTROL! Believe it or not, most Christians honestly believe that because they are still alive God must love them! So that is why they don’t pay much attention to any of the above. All that the Christians hear now from their preachers is a more civilized Gospel of GETTING RICH BY GIVING TO THE CHURCH instead of the old time Gospel of “Pay your tithes and offerings or die!” Some Bible writers were honest enough to tell us the way it is…!

Jeremiah 6:13 (NIV) "From the least to the greatest, ALL are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike, ALL practice deceit."

I am the Pastor of a church in North Florida. Our youth group sponsors a breakfast every Sunday morning that starts an hour before Sunday School. They bring in $50-70 per week doing this (all donations).

Some churches have a senior prom(for Senior Citizens, sixty and older). There's a prom king and queen. There might be door prizes for something like: best dressed, longest married, and also, before I forget, the prom king and queen can be determined by the oldest married couple.

Some youth groups give out free coupons to church members that say they will 'come and work for them – clean house, do yardwork etc.. Then the people of the church donate a sum of money to the Youth Group.
    Good luck!

We have several fundraisers throughout the year.

Valentines Dinner and a Movie ($5 a plate) We did the very romantic theme of Lady and a Tramp this year.

Easter and Valentines luminaries. ($5 per luminary) We use the large pickle jars, some sand and tealight candles. For valentines, we set the luminaries up at the church for the dinner and a movie. For Easter, we have a sunrise service in the local cemetary and we line the cemetary drive ways with the luminaries.

Pancake Supper and Auction – One of our best fundraisers. We have a pancake supper (You guessed it… $5 per plate) followed by a great auction. The auction includes cakes, new donated items including coins, tools, autographed memorabilia, vacations, baseball tickets and hunting supplies. We also utilize the local businesses and request gift certificates for items such as gas and food. Regardless, the gift certificates are always 100% profit.

Flamingo Flocking – Lots of work but it is a lot of fun. We have anywhere from 100 to 200 pink flamingo statues that people sign up to flock a yard with. ($5 to flock) Once your yard is flocked, you can request different amounts of money for a times deflocking. For example… $20 to have an overnight removal, $15 to have a 72 hour turnaround and $5 for a one week removal.

One of our neighboring churches does a flushed for Christ where they use a toilet instead of a flamingo.
We use things like a churchwide carwash and leaf raking out there as free. We will not accept any donations for these events. These events are our way of saying thanks for all the support and donations from our church members. We limit the carwash and leaf rakings to the church members. We have been known to rake a yard or two of other people that may simply just need it. This is also a way to keep our youth realizing that they have to work in their life in order to be “paid” and that they should always be greatful and courteous.

    Just my 2 cents worth,
    Chris
