My church has always helped pay our way to church camp by 'bible bucks' which we had to earn doing various things. This year they've stopped, and my youth leader doesn't really want to raise money for us to be able to go and not raise money for the trips. We're going to do some fundraisers, but we don't know what…
Please help, it's important to us…
Car washes always seem to be a good start. But if it's cold.. try a bake off or go to the local business and ask for their support. Make sure they are getting something out of it too. Like if you shop at this place, half of the proceeds will go to this facility… Make sure they bring in reciepts for it to work.

Contributing To Neighborhood Through Community Service Essay.?
The question is:
"How can I contribute to my neighborhood through community service?"
This is what I have already:
I can contribute to my neighborhood through community service by being a role model to the youth. I can contribute to my neighborhood through community service also by creating a "Think Squad." The Think Squad will be an eco-friendly program in partnership with my community. It will be from 6:00-7:30 PM at the community center. The Think Squad will deliver recycle bins to everyone in the neighborhood for awareness about Global Warming and recycling. I can contribute to my neighborhood through community service by doing community service in my neighborhood in general. I can tutor students, have fundraisers, help out in schools near my neighborhood, volunteer in
churches, volunteer in local homeless shelters, create a donating group to donate books to schools, and school supplies. I can teach students right from wrong, encourage them to do their best and to dream big.
Please help me add stuff, take off stuff.
Help me make it sound very good.
Thank You.
maybe.. you should think about the animal shelters… help people adopt them… and teach them about what happens if no one adopts them!..
alot of people want to "CLEAN"… but… it DOESN'T STAY CLEAN… think about OTHER ways to help out the communities!!

Hi, My youth group and I (it is also open to the entire church too though) are going on a missions trip this summer and I need roughly about $2500 to $3000 to go! We've thought of all the typical things like car washes, yard sales, etc (But we have to wai until warmer weather to do those) and we need to get started raising money NOW!! So do you have any ideas that would work for winter fundraisers? The three of us are also trying to get jobs, but we live in an extremely small town so it is hard most people don't hire teenagers and the places that do aren't hiring anyone right now. (also asking the church for support is out because this is an entire church event i.e. it is open to everyone, and since a lot of the church body is trying to raise money we can't ask them for help.! Got any ideas? Thanks
If your real goal is to help people who need it, why do you have to go on a trip? Why can't you save all that travel money and help people in the town where you live?
If the real goal is the trip, then drop the "missions trip" pretext and just admit that it's a vacation.

I love bingo and tic tac THROW personally. Oh yea and armless pie eating contests WOO! .. people pay to stuff their faces with pie and others pay to watch and throw popcorn and blunt objects at them while laughing heartily.
