Fund Raising Ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

my friends church youth group and i are wanting to go to west Virginia to help people rebuild and fix their houses. But in order to do that we need to have 250 each person! her church can not afford for eight of us to go so we have fundraisers. We are doing a bake sale and sloppy Joe lunch once a month. we made a profit of three hundred and fifty dollars which is a huge profit considering the size of the church. i need ideas of how to make money. and what is a good price for a car wash because that is the only thing we can think of at this point. Thanks

Why not get people to sponsor you and your friends for different things like a sponsored run, silence etc.Or you could have a garage sale or do a raffle/tombola i am sure you and your friends have something you don't need to give away as a prize/prizes.It's great what your doing and i really hope you get to virginia.Good luck :)

Looking for sample contribution letters from a church for fundraising, for corporation and individuals?

I worked in my "Church" in "Finance", voluntarily, for a number of years. Our membership consisted of 8,000 from all "walks" of life. Begin any "funds" drive with your resources available, MEMBERS. Members attend because they enjoy the church and want it to succeed. They will get the message out in support.

Success in a church "fundraiser" is accomplished not only through members but other "tools", i.e., phone, visiting individuals and/or corporations. etc. Individuals will donate a minimum only because you are representing a church, but, business, corporations, etc., is different. Successful businesses are "managed" by successful people. Most are affiliated with a church, therefore, any donations will first support their own. On the other hand, if your church is located in a smaller area, community, township, and businesses of all sizes are in the area, I can assure you in support of the local community a visit will get a donation.

NO business will support your efforts unless you provide a reason, a plan, a goal. Depending on use of "funds" raised will effect efforts as well. Businesses MUST first be contacted and corporations may have a department or individual responsible for your type support.

I can tell you from experience, most letters to individuals "hit the trash" quickly. If you do not send to proper person at businesses, same. I found letters a waste of time and money, "return" was less than the expense.

Good Luck, stay positive. Let those in the church work for you.

What drinks or dessert to make and sell for fundraiser at church?

I tried selling shaved ice with many toppings last week–it worked out great because it was hot (85 deg). Now it is cold and I can't use shaved ice anymore.

I don't think Boba would work well since we already have many Lollicups around here. Population is Taiwanese. What can I make?

hot brownies and hot chocolate

Fundraiser ideas help!?

Any good fundraisers you can think of that a church youth group can do to raise money for a trip?
We already have a dessert auction, car wash, and parent night out(babysitting kids)
anything else?

Also I need to raise about 11 hundred dollars more and i have NO idea what to do.
my grandma says go to my uncle and family and just ask them but i feel bad, I don't like asking people for money esspecially the economy is these days(not just an excuse)

please help with ideas thanks!

Buy things from ABC catalog and sell them for a few more dollars than you bought them.

Do a dog walking service, dog-sitting service…dog washing service? lol

Do a lock-in at your church, and charge $10 per person…and anyone can come.

(:
