The youth group from Trinity and Cathedral all volunteered at Rita’s on May 10th from 1-14. 20% of proceeds from 1-4:00 were given to the youth group to raise money for camp.

This fundraising dinner was held on May 25, 2008 in Westchester, NY for the benefit of the Mother Teresa Cathedral, a multi-million dollar project that is being built in Prishtina, the capital of the new state of Kosova. The dinner was chaired by former NY Congressman Joe DioGuardi.

Anyone have any good recommendations on a cute fundraising ideas for children? Our church is trying to put something together to raise money for the needy & I need some ideas.
Bake sales usually do well, if you have plenty of people willing to bake. Another idea that’s low-maintenance might be a candle sale, Tupperware, pizza kits, frozen cookie dough, etc. Discovery Toys, I think does fundraisers, too. One that our school uses is the pop can drive. We are in Michigan, so there is a 10c deposit on carbonated beverage containers. We have the students bring them in, then the group who is raising the money takes them to the store to be returned for money.
Decide how many people are willing to help and what kind of market your dealing with, and go for it!
The youth group at Grace Fellowship went to the San Diego Food Bank to sort food as an outreach, and also as a fund-raiser. The kids obtained sponsorship for their hours of work with the funds going to wintercamp at Forest Home Jan 4-6, 2009.
